Natalie Smith is a Chicago-born, Indianapolis-based visual artist whose work explores culture, memory, identity, and the emotional connections carried through everyday life. Working primarily in acrylic, mixed media, and dimensional materials, she creates pieces that combine color, texture, symbolism, and storytelling.

Her practice often reflects Black culture, ancestral memory, personal history, and the beauty found in familiar experiences. Natalie is especially drawn to creating work that feels layered and tactile, incorporating materials such as wood, fabric, lace, and other three-dimensional elements to move beyond the traditional painted surface.
